In the last decades, the District of Carmine, in Brescia, has experienced rapid changes due to the increase of immigrants and to the impressive urban redevelopment project that deeply transformed its physical characteristics, the profile of its inhabitants, the public spaces, the business activities and neighborhood relations. The documentary tells this change through four main points of view and the intertwine of other storylines: Rose, historical memory of the community; Farouk, Bengali phone center enterpreneur; Wilma, the owner of a particular pub; Florence, an Albanian boy grew up in the youth center of the neighborhood. The common thread of their personal tales is a portrayal of the community life transformation in traits and meanings, testing the certainties and the habits of each resident.

"La Strada" Collective, 2008

First edition of the international festival dedicated to the road, created in close relationship with Brescia and its inhabitants. A show determined to turn streets, alleys, squares, cloisters (from the San Faustino Church to Largo Formentone) in entirely different places. The inhabitants are no longer seen just as passers but at the same time as users and hosts. This festival is made possible by the performances of international and local artists, the installations created on the theme of the shoe from schools and academies in Brescia, the involvement of associations, artisans, universities, foreign communities etc.
